The film follows a family of four—Tom (Andreas Pietschmann), a German oceanographer; Julia (Émilie Dequenne), a French doctor; and their children, Cassie and Ben—who are sailing off the coast of Puerto Rico to celebrate Ben’s 13th birthday.
